Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Dryer LEN2000JQ0
My Repair & Advice
The timer stopped working on a used Whirlpool Imperial series. I bought another timer through this site. I was able to replace the timer without a problem. However, I was concerned about the reason the timer broke. My house outlet is a 3-prong outlet and I had previously converted it from a 4-prong outlet. It was difficult to find information about how to do this properly. Reading the manual eventually showed me the right way to do this.
While replacing the terminals, I broke the terminal block. The main reason was because the previous user used square nuts that were too small and this snapped the plastic. Also, don't use power tools! So then I had to order this terminal block. Replacing it was easy enough but the whole process took a few weeks and not knowing the right way to convert the power cable made me nervous.
