My Repair & Advice
I was a detective, and now retired and currently a college professor. Books, guns, computers: Tools. Screwdrivers, wrenches, saws: weapons. Watched your video and decided the inlet valve was the cause of the problem and ordered the part Wednesday 7/09. Checked e-mail on 7/10 to see if it had shipped yet and tracking said it was sitting on my front porch. Amazing, it actually was. Now I was cornered. I pulled the refrigerator out, shut off the water, as the video stressed, and using a nut-driver and a razor blade, in about 30 minutes the ice maker was working again. It’s been hours and I just heard another batch of ice cubes falling into the bin. My wife was even impressed. After 30 years, not easily accomplished. Great site, great video, great result. Now if you could show me how to adjust the big door so that the gasket seals toward the bottom of the door I would be eternally grateful.
