This drain hose is cracked near the air gap vent unit. I can cut it back and connect a new hose and clamp it to the air gap unit. How can a new hose be connected to the old one? Is there a small straight section that can be used for this purpose? The way the dishwasher is installed, it is not easy to pull it out to replace the hose entirely.

Answer Hi Jay. Universal drain hose is part # TJ10DWDH7. The inside diameter of the hose is approximately 3/4 of an inch the outside diameter of the hose and coupling is approximately 1-1/8 inch. It is always best to replace the complete length because , 1- the ribs on the old hose are just as old and as soon as you splice them it just creates (2) another 2 places for it to leak under the sink.
