My Frigidaire oven will not heat up. We tried replacing the heating element but that is not the problem When we try to set the temp. it lights up clicks a couple of times and that's all it does. the top of the stove works fine. I don't want to start buying a lot of things when we don't know what is wrong our stove is about 4 years. old. I don't remember the oven thermostat clicking when we would turn the oven on before

Answer Hello Paula. If the element is new, and it does not work, you will need to order and replace the control for the oven to repair the unit. You can test for power to the element. It should be 240 volts for an electric element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. We're having a problem with the "bake" feature on the oven. The bottom element heats up slow (like 10minutes for 10-20 degrees and it tops out at around 200). How do I tell if its an issue with the element, the connector clips, or the thermostat? The broil feature, top element, and all the burners work fine and it was an "all of a sudden" kind of a failure.

The oven heats, but falls short of the proper temp. that it's set for. I checked with a manual thermometer in the oven, setting on the oven was 350 and the actual reading was 275. How do I determine if it's the element or temp sensor?

Answer Hello Guy. The sensor should read around 1100 ohms at room temp and 1650 ohms at 350°. Id it is testing properly, but the oven temp is not correct, replace the sensor. If the sensor is reading good, and the oven thinks it is 350°, you will need to replace the control on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer Hello Jessie. You can replace the bake element. Unplug the unit and remove the screws inside th oven securing the bake element. Pull the element out and remove the wires off the old bake element. Install the new element in reverse order.
