in replacing the tub boot. I have removed the agitator but the bolts holding the inner tub are rusted and I cannot budge them. I do see some rust around the hub, so am i just trying to repair an appliance that is past it's prime? Or, can I attempt to cut the bolts off and them replace them or are there other tricks you can suggest? Thanks

To replace the tub boot is the tub boot the only part I need or is there a kit which may include other gaskets? Also how do I open the top to get the inner tub out?

Latest Questions

Is the Tub Boot the part that keeps thing items from going under the agitator? Also, the agitator seems really hard to pull up. I think I used to remove it by simply pulling up on it. I pulled fairly hard with no success. Do they slip around and become stuck on something? If so what other part do I need? Thanks!

Is there a trick to replacing this Tub Boot? Is there anything I need to know or be aware of prior to tearing into the Basin and Spin Tub Assemblies? I know the boot is leaking because I can feel the tear and see the leak. I believe I can get it changed by going in from the top of the machine and removing the agitator then the spin tub. That should allow me to gain access to the main tub basin and the boot seal. Am I correct?
