Will this work with my GE Profile Prodigy?
Answer Hello Suzan! If your wall outlet has a 4 prong outlet you will need part number TJ1004. If it has a 3 prong outlet you will need to use cord part number TJ5654. Thanks!
The power cord for the dryer is a 4 prong and the wall outlet is a 3 prong. Please tell what steps I must take in changing the 4 prong power cord to a 3 prong because I live in an apartment complex. I need to know if I would be able to use my dryer and not cause any harm to others. I thank you in advance.
To change the dryer cord you will access the terminal block. There will be a grounding strap on the center terminal that will connect from the center terminal to where the ground wire on the 4 wire cord is connected. The center wire of the 3 prong wire will go to the center post and the other 2 on the outer posts.
