The broiler does not heat.
Does this mean I need a new broiler element?
If so, is it available? What is the price?
Answer Hello Burton. 830233 is the correct broil element. This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.
I need to get installation instructions for this part.
Answer Hello Deb,
The broil element replacement is actually quite simple. First and most importantly, turn off the breaker to the unit and test to insure no voltage is to the unit. (If the light no longer comes on this is a good indication). Remove the screws in the bracket that supports the element to the unit ceiling. Remove the two screws that hold the element to the rear of the cavity. Pull gently to get enough slack in the wire to come through into the bake cavity. Put the new element in the correct direction, in the cavity over the old one and remove one wire at a time and install them in sequence on the new element. Reinstall the screws into the rear of the bake cavity. Reinstall the support bracket screws. Now you may proceed to reintroduce power to the unit.
