It this hinge (487746) sold individually or does it include both the left and right side? So would I need to order one or two hinges per door that I am repairing?

I ordered 487746 replacement hinges for my Thermador SMW272 oven. I know how to lock the old hinges open, remove the door and remove the old hinges from the door. The problem is that the new hinges from AppliancePartsPro came shipped in the closed/unlocked position. I can't reinstall the door with the new hinges in that position and opening and locking them manually is extremely difficult if not impossible. Any suggestions? AppliancePartsPros.com: You really should ship these in the open/locked position and ready to install. Some written instructions might be nice as well.

The 2 oven doors work fine. The bottom door does not close all the way. I took both doors off. The top working door I put on the bottom oven and the same problem the door does not completely shut. The bottom door works fine on the top oven. Is this still the hinges? If so what is the part number to order and is there a procedure to follow for the replacement and installation of the hinges? Thanks, Kevin

Both oven doors do not close properly and the hinges need to be replaced. I would like to know what hinges I need for both the upper and lower door. It appears that they are different part numbers. Is this the case or are they the same hinge for both upper and lower. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

In reading the answers on your site, I notice that instructions for replacing the door hinges include the steps of removing the hinge pocket covers and hinge locking screws on the side of the oven casing. I do not understand what function these locking screws serve if the entire hinge comes out of the oven frame when the door is removed in order to replace the hinges. Can you help me understand what part these "locking screws" play in the task? Thanks

I bought hinge(487746), after removing the door with the hinges locked open (springs are now loaded) how do I safely get the hinges back to the closed position so that I can un-install them from the door. Based upon the assumption that to remove the old hinges from the door, they needs to be in the closed position at a right angle like a pistol -- true? thanks
