2 XLO burners No gas No sparky...already replaced potentiometer and simmer control and same issue...now what?
Answer Hello Andrew. If there is no gas or spark, the knobs may be broken that turns them on. Check those first. If they are good, then the new thing to check would be the wiring on the unit and the igniter.
HI, My Thermador oven intermittently ignites either on bake or convection. Sometimes the oven, when already baking, sparks even if it isn't at temperature. The cooktop burners are fine. Do I need a different module? Thanks
Answer Hello Anthony,
This sounds more like you are losing a ground or there is a wiring issue. You need to dis-assemble the inside of the unit to access the bake burner and check the wiring down there that is exposed to the heat of the bake compartment. If no problem is located, you should then consider the control module. You will need to verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag since the model number you listed does not come up as valid.
I contacted you earlier about having no spark on any of the burners on my cooktop PCS366. It was recommended to replace the Spark Module. My question is what is the difference between the Spark Module part #00753257 and the Fixing Kit part #00497235? Thank you
Answer Hello Rich,
The fixing kit is the manufacturers' fix for a known problem with the original design that was causing failures. The kit is not required on your unit. If you need the simmer control you will need to order part number 00645446. If you need the potentiometer you will need to order part number 00422748. If you need both, you will have to order the two parts separately since, for your model, there is no kit containing all parts needed.
