The dishwasher is started and the soap is dispensed, but it never kicks in to rinse cycle. The washer will run for hours.
You will want to check the heater circuit for your unit. If the water temp does not come up to the desired temp then it will continue to run. The most likely cause for this would be a faulty control module.
On the replacement flow switch, it has three terminals. The old one had two. What do I do with the extra terminal?
Answer Hello Mark,
Hook the connections back to the same connections they were fastened to on the old switch and just don't worry about the third terminal. It is there so the switch can be used for another application.
Part #00069796 replaced part #175711, the new part has three terminal which terminal do I use and what do I do with the extra terminal?
Answer Hello Mark. Look at the terminals on the old switch. You will see NC, NO, or COM. You will match the old with the new on the switch.
Our machine will only run for about 2 minutes. It sounds like the pump is on. When we should start getting water, we have the finished beep and the machine shuts off.
Answer Hello Ken,
These units have a flood switch made under the unit in the base assembly. If water down there raises the float even by a hair, the unit will drain the water out and will not complete the washing cycle. The most common cause or the issue is the water inlet valve not fully opening, which causes a dribble of water from the fill assembly on the side of the unit. This small dribble accumulates in the main base and generates the issue.
If there is water in the lower pan with the flow switch, what would cause water to be in there?
Answer Hello Ron. This is caused by a hose or something leaking. You need to dry out the water, run the unit, and look for the leak and repair it.
When I turn on the dishwasher you don't here the water running in the unit.
Answer Hello Gary. You will need to check and make sure the water is turned on coming to the unit and that the float switch is not stuck in the up position. If it is not, then the valve or the module will be the issue with the unit. If there is power to the valve and no water, replace the valve. No, power, replace the module. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Hi there: Our dish washer cleans the bottom rack fine, but the top rack dishes, especially cups are very dirty, and appear to have lower rack food stuff particles sprayed onto them. Ideas?
Answer Hello Scrantron. The first thing check is to make sure all the filters are clean, if they are not the food particles will blow back up on the upper rack. The next thing to check is to make sure the water temperature is proper. The temperature needs to be at least 120 degrees. I am including a link to our Repair Forum that will have some other suggestions to try. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/dishwasher-repair/188043-frigidaire-dishwasher-top-rack-dirty-dishes.html Hope this helps.
