I have two burners that will not light. There is gas to both of them when turned on but will not apart. There is no clicking sound of the burner trying to light. What parts will I need to fix the unit? thank you
Answer Hello Allen,
You will need to install a simmer control kit 00497234 to replace both the spark switches and the simmer control. They all have to be replaced at the same time since the new design parts are not compatible with the old ones and if all are not replaced, there will still be an issue.
Are the spark units replaceable?
Also I am getting a good spark on some burners but the burner doesn't always light right away. Which item is faulty? Thanks
Answer Hello Wheezy. Yes, you can replace the spark switches in the unit. As for your issue, if it is sparking, and not lighting, try cleaning the burner and see if that helps the unit.
How do you open this cooktop to be able to put this part in?
Answer Hello Rancher,
You will have to remove the unit from installation and remove the burners and control knobs. There will be screws around the perimeter of top that you will remove to release top. Once top is off you can replace the spark switch.
Front right burner continues to spark after it is lit. The rest work fine. Help
Answer Hello John. Make sure the burner is clean on the unit. If so, replace the spark module 00645443 on the unit.
The stove right front burner will not spark and gas does not come out, so it can't be lighted even with a lighter.
Answer Hello Thayer. Check and see if the knob 00415364 is broken or cracked and is not turning the valve to start the gas and spark.
