My front left element on my Kenmore range experienced a burnt open wire leading to the terminal block. I ordered a repair kit and made the repairs. When I tested the element it worked fine(turned red) for about three to four minutes when my breaker tripped. I reset the breaker after examining all connections to all the elements & got the same results, a tripped breaker with a flash coming from behind the element control switch for the front left element. I disconnected the repaired element & the problem goes away. I measure 21 ohms on the front left element. Not sure where to look next.

I just received the 8in surface element for my fridgedare electric stove. When I fully turned the element on only about 1/2 would glow.I guess an element can go bad or possibly the control. Do you have any troubleshooting ideas i can use. Thanks.
