Hello! I have a combo Frigidaire GLGH1642FS0 washer/dryer (electric dryer). my problem is that when I run the dryer, on initial startup the whole drum sounds like its scraping on one side, but when it gets up to temperature, the sound goes away. the scraping sound comes back when the temp drops or when the heating element stops heating. Do you know which part to replace? I am thinking the bearing, but im not sure why the scraping sound goes away once the dryer is "hot". -e

My dryer has a terrible screeching noise when it first starts then slowly goes away. Is it the drum bearing? The dryer is six years old and used about 3 times per week. I just replaced the belt. The noise was there before the belt change but got worse after.

On exploded parts drawing, I am inquiring about part number 32 which is your P/N AP4365923. This part is the bearing assembly that supports the dryer tub. I have ordered the heater assembly from your company. As shown from the drawing, the bearing shaft goes through the center of the heater. In order to change the heater, I need to remove the shaft. I need advice on how to remove the shaft and mounting flange. Please help.
