my washer agitates but the tub spins clockwise and gets faster and faster
Answer Tom, Based on your post description, at this point, the "one way" bearing has failed and you will need to replace the transmission assembly 134735700 and associated parts. Thanks
Do I need to grease this bearing after installation ? If so,with what type grease? Thanks!
Answer Hi JrH. It is always good advise wherever there are 2- metals working against one another, it is best to use a film of grease. This way they wear in together and if there is a need to replace it in the future it is easier to replace. Bearing part # 3204405. Thank You.
I have a fridgidare washer and shakes and rattles when is in spin, have replaced the snubber and, does the same.
Answer Hello Don. Check and see if the base of the transmission 134737100 is bad. It should be tight and have no play in it. This is the square block on the bottom of the transmission. If so, you will need to replace the transmission in the unit. Hope this helps.
My washing agitator just goes around and around . Instead of back and forth what is the problem. And what should I check first ?
Answer Hi Doris. Remove power. Lift the top. Remove the top tub ring. remove the agitator. Look under it and remove the inner basket by removing all 6- bolts holding it to the tub support underneath the inner basket. Then you will see the support called a trunnion part # 131545101. On the side of it is a flat 1" x 3 " stainless bar part # 137107000. Is it broken and hanging to one side ? This is very common with some age. You also may need to consider changing the 2- bolts that hold them to0gether part # 137539500. Thank You.
