I just purchased the bottom door seal for this dishwasher. It still leaks. I ran the unit with the door panel removed and you can see the water being pushed out of the notched area in the center of the seal. What can you suggest? Thanks.
Answer Hello Bill,
Since the bottom of the door is not completely sealed because it is used as the air inlet for the dry cycle, the "seal" you installed is actually a splash guard. Most of the time, this issue is caused by a split, separating, or clogged spray arm or another missing or damaged seal that is allowing the water pressure from the pump to be putting a "wave" in the water in the tub area.
there’s a plastic strip that has come loose near the base of the dishwasher door just inside the washer itself which part do i need to order to replace?
Answer AF, You're on target, the bottom door seal has come loose from the door liner. You have the correct part number 154576501 for the seal. " 1. The bottom door seal is mounted to the bottom of the inner door panel by five screws. Remove lower rack and screws to remove seal. 2. Do not overtighten screws when reinstalling."
My dishwasher is leaking from around the bottom of the door. Would replacing the bottom door seal help with this?
Answer Hello Gina. Yes, based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the bottom seal 154576501 on the unit.
