The oven in my Frigidaire FGFL67DBH stopped working. I discovered that if I banged on valve AP3879604, the oven would ignite. I replaced the valve. Then the oven would only ignite when one of the stovetop burners were on. This worked for a while, but after 6 months, if I touched the keypad at all, the oven would not stay lit. So I replaced AP4501685. Now I am back to having to turn on a stove burner for the oven to ignite.
Answer William, The place to start is the oven bake igniter 316489400 When you select a bake cycle and temp. The igniter should start to glow and produce 3.2 to 3.6 VAC or draw 3.2 to 3.6 amps on th wires to the safety valve 316404901 An even easier check, does the waist high broiler in the oven, ignite and burn properly, or do you have the same issues as the bake burner ? We take for granted, you've already checked for loose connections and damaged wiring. Another possibility, but not likely would be a gas pressure problem, or mybe even a regulator issue 316091706, since you have to turn a burner on to allow the bake burner to ignite. You would want to have your gas supply company come in and check the gas supply pressure to your range, both "static" and "under a load". Good Luck and Thanks
When I press clock, f99 shows; press bake and oven light only comes on;
press bake time and dr shows; yesterday when bake was pressed, f13 showed, today f13 doesn't show regardless of what is pressed.
If I need to replace a part can you give me helpful instructions on how to?
Thank you for any help you give me. Tim
Answer Hello Tim. Based on the information you provided, you will need to replace the clock assembly 316557101 and the door lock assembly 316464300. You will disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the back panel off the control panel to access and replace the clock assembly. To replace the lock motor, you will raise the cook top to access and replace the lock motor. Hope this helps.
My oven Doesnt want to light till i bang the timer real hard.What would cause this?Should i get a bigger hammer?
Answer Herbert, A bigger hammer wont really help. At this point, I would think you have a bad relay on the Clock/ERC. based on you post description. I was hoping it was a weak oven igniter, it could be, depending on how hard you're banging the control panel/stove. If you can get access to a multimeter, and check for 120 VAC to the oven igniter to verify. Thanks and Good Luck
