I am getting power to the dishwasher, but the control panel is not responsive and the indicator LED is not on. What parts should I try and replacing and how difficult is that to do myself?
Answer Hello Steve,
If you are getting 120Vac to the control board 154815601 and nothing coming back out of it, it is a safe bet that it has failed. The hardest thing about this job is making sure the gasket is properly placed so no moisture can get into the control board mounting area. This is not a difficult job and you should have no problem.
Dran pump runs as soon as you shut the door. It runs all the time even if we push any buttons. It started to run after the dishes were washed and we closed the door after we emptied the dishwasher
If the drain pump is continuously running you will first want to check the wiring from the control board to the drain pump. If the wiring is ok then you will want to replace the control board.
Close door will not turn off. Will run but makes noise. When wash is complete will not stop.
Answer Tony, The console may be a good place to start, but the issue with the "close door" would be due to a faulty door switch 154722401 or control board 154815601 or wiring. A fsulty control board, could be the cause of your noise and no shut off issues as well. We'll send you some information, so you can conduct tests using the control panel, and determine your issue.
Does the cost include the switches?
Answer Hello Barsoum. The console 154791806 does have the membrane with the buttons to select the cycles. However, it does not have the control board or the door switches.
All the touch pads on the control panel work and it displays correctly, but when delayed start or start pads are touched, nothing happens then the display turns off. Is this the touchpad or the control board? Thank you!
Answer Hello Todd,
This model has had issues with both the control 154815601 and the user interface 154791806. I would recommend to check the connections from one to the other by removing the connector and reconnecting, While you have the connector off, look a the pins on the control board that the ribbon cable connect to. If there are any signs of moisture damage, replace both. You will also need to replace the gasket 154478901 around the board since the dry cycle moisture is what generally gets into this assembly. Be aware that if the "console" touchpad has an issue and you connect it to a new control board, the new board will most likely be damaged.
Touch the buttons for wash cycle and light comes on. When you hit the start button it will not go to "CL" for close door. Is the problem the touchpad control panel or circuit board? Thanks
Answer Hi. CL is "closed door" latch issue. If one of the door latch micro switches are not working correctly then this latch will not send power to the control board. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. Make sure the unit is level and all 4-legs are snug on the floor so the unit does not sag under a full load and break the latch. Thank You
