I'm getting F10 code and the top of the oven is coming on and the bottom won't.
Answer Hello Antwann,
For model number GLEFZ379FCD, fault code F10 is indicating Runaway Temperature. The tech sheet recommendations are:
1. (F10 only) Check RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive.
I have a single wall oven with a code f1 model #Jtp1og53bg electric oven. Can you give me information on how to fix it?
Answer Hello Tim. F1 This code usually means that there is a problem with the keypanel. You will need to replace the key panel on the unit.
My oven will not turn off and I think I need the "oven control board". Is there another part that is required - like the "overlay" ?
Yes, along with the oven control board you would want to get the overlay as the old overlay 316220805 will not stick properly to the new control board.
power outage digital display will not work, it was fine before power outage, tried the breaker off 10 min still won't work, stove top does work.
You will want to test the control board to make sure that you are getting 120 vac from L1 to neutral. If there is 120 vac then your control board 316207527 is faulty and would need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
