There is an extra plug with a blue and orange wire on this part. It was not on the old unit. Where does this plug attach?
Answer Hello Greg. If it was not used on the old part, you will not use it on this part. Just lay it inside the housing.
I have changed out the control box and I am getting no power to fan inside the freezer. Control box came as a kit so also changed the refrigerator and freezer control knobs.
With having the control box replaced, you will want to make sure that all connections are made firmly and if they check ok then it sounds like the defrost board in the kit may be faulty as this is what supplies power to the fan motor.
Do you have this control in stock part #5304482075?
Answer Hello Reds. No, as of 9/24/2014 it is out of stock. If you order it, we will ship it to you as soon as it comes in. Thanks.
My refrigerator is running way too cold and is freezing stuff. Turned settings down real low, everything still ice cold.
Answer Hello Michael,
First you need to realize that turning the temperature of the fresh food compartment warmer will cause a lack of air circulation. This causes the items near the bottom of the fresh food compartment to freeze because the heavier cold air from the freezer side will migrate backwards into the bottom of the fresh food compartment. If this is not the case, you will need to replace the damper 5304482075.
