Washer stopped with one minute left and never progressed any further. I unplugged it for a few days and it worked for a whole cycle but stopped again with one minute. I got an error code of e56. I replaced the control board that is located beside the motor. After doing that, in diagnostic mode, it am getting E5E error now. All cables seems to be fine, but will check again. Any suggestions?
Answer Hello Mark,
This is what the tech sheet says to do in the case of the E5E code. This is the fault code for a High motor current.
1. Remove the belt from the motor and spin the motor pulley. Does the motor spin free? No. Replace the motor. Yes. Go to step (3). 2. Spin the tub pulley. Does the tub spin free? No. Check the tub bearings. Yes. Go to step (3). 3. Disconnect the plug from the motor and measure the resistance of the windings (pin 1 to pin 2, pin 1 to pin 3, pin 2 to pin 3). All readings should be between 4 and 6 Ohms. If the readings are correct, replace the speed control board. If the readings are incorrect, replace the motor.
The dispenser is not mixing. I replace the dispenser valve but is the same not working ?
If the water is not dispensing the detergent, bleach and fabric softener then you will want to check the ports that are in the top of the dispenser assembly to make sure that they are clear and not plugged up. This is the most likely cause for the issue.
I have a Frigidaire Washer Model # GLTF2940ES2. I ordered a new control board part #137006000. The new board does not have a 2 pin connector for the reed switch. Is it incorporated into the new board?? Is there a way to add it to the new board. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
It appears that the manufacturer has eliminated the reed switch and would not need to be hooked up. The unit will operate. There is no way to install the pin connectors on the new board for the reed switch since it was eliminated. You will want to just leave the connector disconnected and just move to where it will not be hitting anything.
After replacing pump and main control board still have e23 error code frigidaire washer what to do?
You will want to check all the wiring from the control board to the drain pump as this would be the cause for the E23 error code with the pump and control board having been replaced. Check for corrosion on the terminals and look for loose or broken wires.
