Washer wouldn't spin, it would flash 18h which is not a valid code. So I cleaned lint trap in rubber boot, installed a new latch and ran the diagnostics on it. Codes E23 and E24 came up. I checked wires ... ok ... pump was pumping anyways even though E23 and 24 are bad drain pump relay. Not sure if I should replace main controller board or look else where. I did notice plastic impeller on pump was wearing through as could see "o" ring. Any suggestions?
Answer Hello Plantman,
Both fault codes have the exact same definition:
Drain pump relay on control board failed or wire off pump. Action to be taken: Replace control board or wire.
In light of this and what you have done, you need to pull the hose off of the drain pump and use a small screwdriver to turn the pump impeller. If it wobbles or seems loose at all, replace the pump 137221600. If not, you should remove the outer tub-to-pump hose 134455900 from the pump and the outer tub and make sure it has no obstructions. Some of these have a white plastic ball inside them that is part of it. It should be in place when re-assembled if it has one to begin with. This protects the pump from items such as ink pens, hair clips, etc.
The display will flash and beep and most times will not start a cycle. When it does start a rare cycle the display will shut off and restart where it left off. Is this a control panel issue?
Answer Hello James,
This unit has a self diagnostic mode that must be used to pull the fault codes. This is the fastest, most effective way to locate the issue without throwing parts at the machine. The procedure is laid out in the tech sheet normally found in a brown envelope in the base of the unit. If you cannot locate it, re-post your question with an e-mail address and we can send you a copy of the procedure. I'm sorry, but the illustrations and complete procedure with the error code chart cannot be posted in this format.
I have a front load washer, starts but will not go to next cycle . If I change cycle it start and then turn off, do you think is the control electric?
Answer Hi. In order to look up all the research needed to answer the question, we will ned the model #. If you have a email address we can help as well. Remove the top. Find the supplied tech sheet inside the unit folded in a packet. This allows you to put the unit into a diagnostic mode. The machine self test each component one by one. If a fault code is found then it will pop it up. This allows the circuit and all devices to be tested as explained in the charts. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Thank You.
Hello, I'm hoping you can help me with my problem. When I push the start button everything lights up normal but it wont lock so that the cycle can start. Sometimes I hear the locking sound but unlocks immediately. We changed the M Lock part # FR 131763202 but we are still having the same problem. At no time have we gotten an error code.
Answer Hi. Double check the latch wires and all connections for clean tight connections. Use the diagnostic sheet to put the unit into a self diagnostic mode and bring up fault codes. It tells which circuits and the devices are needing diagnosed. Is the door striker part # 131763302 fully engaging to allow the latch to work? Check the pump for debris. Make sure the incoming sump hose cup is also clear. Remove both fill hoses one at a time to flush them into a bucket for strong water pressure check. Look into the water valve part # 134371220 to see if the inlet screen is clogged. Let me know what you find to assist further. Thank You.
My washer jumps time and will not finish its wash cycle.
Answer Hello Cody. Check and make sure the drain pump on the unit is not clogged on the unit. If it is clear and draining properly, you will need to order and replace the control board 137007000 on the unit.
Will this work in place of a 137006000?
Answer Trenton, the electronic control 137007000 does not cross reference or replace 137006000 137006000. I would recommend replacing the part that is listed for your model. Thanks!
