We are having issues with the buttons on the key pad display not turning on. This is along with the switch assembly not displaying the minutes remaining and not letting us start dishwasher immediately. I was wondering if the control board is what could be causing this. What do you suggest? Help!
Answer Joe H., The control board 154569301 would be a good possibility, but isn't the likeliest issue, based on your post. Your most likely issue is a failed circuit(s) in the keypad display assembly 154554303. This assembly contains the LED lights and the keypad button circuits, to make the cycle selections and light the selection lights. Start there, not the control board.
The start button does not work. The buttons on the upper panel work fine. What needs to be replaced.
The most likely cause for the start button not working would either be a faulty keypad 154554401 or a bad door latch assembly. You will want to check the switches on the latch assembly to make sure that they are good and if they check ok then the keypad would be the issue.
The PF code is flashing on the display. The Hi Temp Wash button and the Sanitize button are also flashing with the display. The dishwasher will work until this occurs. After this has occurred I have tried to restart the cycle. This error sequence immediately reoccurs. If I wait awhile the cycle will restart but for only a short period of time before the cycle stops and the same error flashes. Any help is appreciated.
Answer Hello Jeremy,
PF is the code for power failure. This basically means that the control board has lost its' connection to the power supply. You should first turn the breaker off to the unit and verify the power is off. Now remove the kick panel and open the small galvanized box on the right of the unit. This is the power connection junction box. Look for any of the wire nuts blackened, dis-colored, or melted. If you find one like this, you have located the issue. If not, check the door switches in the door panel next.
No dry heat 3 second button flashing and when pressing cancel button does not clear function. Removed connector from circuit board to reset and it cleared for about an hour then the 3 second button came back flashing.
Do I have to replace control board?
The No dry heat button is also the button you would use to lock the control panel out. If you push the button for 3 seconds the light should stop flashing. If it does not stop flashing then it sounds like the keypad is stuck and would need to replace the keypad 154489203.
My unit goes thru the cycles but does not drain. I cant hear or see it drain during any part of the cycles. Does not matter which cycle I always have about 1 1/2 thru 2 inches of water in the bottom of unit. Help
Answer Jerry, First check the drain hose, and disposal make sure they're not kinked or clogged with debris or garbage. Then remove the lower access panel, you have a separate drain pump 154580301, Start a wash cycle for a minute or two, then press the cancel/start button, the dishwasher should run a 90 second drain cycle, listen for the drain pump to start and run. If you have access to a multi meter, you can disconnect the wiring from the drain pump, repeat the start and cancel procedure, if you have 120 VAC across the two wires to the pump, the control is OK, and the drain pump is at fault. if there is no voltage you'll need to check the wiring from the control board to the pump, then replace the control if all's OK.
