Display shows pieces of numbers and Freezer shuts off. Unplug from wall and plug back in, unit resets and goes back to normal operation for a few days, then repeats the shutdown. I did the reset once and the unit just kept running and didn't cycle at all.

I have a Frigidaire freezer. It looks like it was made in 2008. Bought it new in 2013. The temperature control on the outside of the door blinks and clicks and the two red alarms on the temperature control, door ajar and temp hot, blink. No control/readout on temperature control to change temperature and it will not react when I reset it. The freezer is not coming on. Do I have a bad temperature control? Thanks!

Freezer makes sound for a few seconds then cuts off but the compressor never kicks on. Thought it was the run capacitor per a couple other sites but that did nothing to fix it. Initially realized it wasn't cooling because the built in alarm sounded. The light for the alarm is flashing but the power light is off. The power light will light up while holding down the alarm on/off button however the alarm will not turn off. Could it be the control panel causing the problem? Thanks.

We have had our freezer for roughly 5 years. The unit first started acting strange about a month ago. On occasion, the compressor would be running and we would open the unit and the interior light would go off and the display panel would start blinking and the unit would not come back on. I would unplug the unit for about 30 minutes and it would start working again. Today however, it has done something different. Both the high temp light and door ajar lights are blinking rapidly and making a buzzing sound when the unit is plugged in.

The freezer runs all the time. I pulled the circuit board out and the box the circuit board plugs into is burned, so I need the base for the circuit board. How can I get that?

The freezer has stopped working. It is 4 years old. The light inside works, but I have done every thing including unplugging and plugging back up. It would still not come on. If I order the electronic control in the door and it still doesn't work can I return it?

Freezer doing many strange things. Model # FFU17F5HWD. Getting both error lights on the front display. The alarm sounds sometimes, other times not. Sometimes the freezer is running, sometimes not? Got an "E" once on the display? When I open the door the inside light blinks? The food inside the freezer is thawed when I get the high temp light, so that error message is correct. When I reset the power at the control box, it starts running fine for awhile then starts doing these things again. Sometimes the number on the door panel is not lit up and the unit is running continuously? Other times the high temp alarm is sounding, and the freezer is not running at all? It does then reset OK for awhile, but then continues to act up? I put in a service call, the repair guys came while it was running fine after a reset done the night before. They said they could not check it until the unit was doing something wrong? Charged $70.00 for nothing! After they left, it started having the usual problems again the next day? I should mention this all started a few months ago after a bad lightning storm, the light inside the freezer went out, and number display on the front control panel showed nothing or was not lit. I replaced the bulb on the inside of the freezer, which did not fix the problem. I went to the Frigidaire website and the problem, when both the control panel and inside light are out, was stated as "no power getting to the unit" even though it was running while these two problems were occurring? I found a statement somewhere that said this reaction by the unit is part of an error message to give one time to make a service call if power does become restored to the freezer? Next I should mention how I have checked the electrical outlet the freezer is plugged into. I plugged an electric drill into the outlet plug the freezer is using, and the drill ran fine in both plugs on the outlet in question. I also plugged the freezer into the lower plug on the same outlet, and I had the same problems over time? I am considering running an extension chord to another electrical outlet in the garage to see if the freezer still has problems? I read where I should not, but am desperate. Its either the outlet is cutting power to the freezer randomly or the freezer unit is the problem. I read where the control boards go bad, but does that error cause all these inconsistent crazy problems? Sorry about the long-winded message, but I need advice. Please help.
