We just noticed that the water does not drain after the the cycle is complete. I redo the drain cycle and it takes two times before it drains completly. I have already replaced the drain solonide, what is the next step?
You will need to pull the pump to check the impeller blade to make sure that it is not broken off and check to make sure that there is nothing jamming it. Also check to make sure that the screens are clean.
Fridgidaire dishwasher, all the panel lights were flashing, now its completely dead, no lights, no nothing, tried cycling the power via the circuit breaker and no luck.
Answer Hello Seth. See if there is power coming to the control board on the unit. If so, and the unit does not come on, you will need to replace the control board on the unit.
I get a PF indication on the panel. Is it possible that the drain pump is shorting out?
The PF indicates a power failure. This means that a power failure has occurred in which more than 10% of power has dropped to the unit. Check your home wiring.
Can I buy a cover for my drain pump. It is a frigidaire dishwasher. I am afraid something will fall down the drain.
Answer Hello Gene! Unfortunately, we do not have such an item available. We only have parts listed that the manufacturer offers. Sorry about that!
The pump will not completely drain the unit, only partially. I want to check the voltage feeding the pump while its draining. Also thought I'd pull wires from motor and connect 120 volts to it and see if if ran (if it takes 120v and not go through a transformer). Thanks so much. David
Answer Hello David,
The pumps 154580301 on these are rather prone to failure. Before replacing it though, I would remove the hose from it that comes from the tub and see if it is restricted. While this hose is off, reach inside the pump with a small screwdriver to verify that the impeller is still attached to the motor shaft. This is verified by turning the impeller and if it is attached, you will feel the magnetic field of the motor windings. This all, of course, is with power turned off to the unit. If the unit still doesn't drain after the drain lines are verified, the drain pump should be replaced. This is a 120Vac motor.
How do I change the Drain Pump assembly? Are instructions available? What tools are required?
Answer Hi Glen. This is a relitively easy change out. Remove the front panel. The drain pump is in the front of the sump/motor assy. Remove the intake and the drain hose. Then the pump hanger is clipped into a boss area from the tub assy. It is unclipped from there and removed altogether. Pump part # 154580301. Thank You.
