We have a fridigaire front loader dryer. The female latch piece fell inside the dryer. That part is not on the door as in your video. Is this something we can still do on our own? How would you suggest we get into the dryer? Through the back? Thank you so much for the advice!
For the female part of the door latch kit, you would just need to push the part into place. It does not go in from the inside, it just pushes into the hole. The only way that you would need to get into the unit for the latch is if you were changing the latch that is already in place.
Affinity drier door won't latch properly. I can duct tape it closed and drier will run, but strike does not seem to open for the latch. Can I just replace latch? Is there another piece on door that I'm missing? Do you have picture of correct assembly?
Answer Hi Jim. Is the unit level front to back and side to side. If the door hinge is sprung it may be a added issue. If so it is part # 137105100. The door strike is part # 5303207102. It may be bent and not engaging properly. If the door switch is no longer working properly it is part # 134813601. Thank You.
