I am looking for a replacement broiler element for my 1967 Tappan gallery model #31-1147. Do you guys have a replacement element?
Answer Hello Dan,
You can try 5303207152 if it looks right but if it does not, you will most likely need to send us a picture with measurements to try to match it up. This is difficult since the unit is too old to have in the listings.
Do you have a broiler element that will work for this model it is a GE brand gas drop in range? Thank you, Tammy D.
Answer Tammy, the model number given is incorrect. We'll need the model number from the model/serial tag plate attached to the appliance to verify the correct parts available. Please obtain this information and repost for further assistance. Thanks.

What should the ohms read on the upper and lower elements of the stove?
Answer Hello Brian. Both the upper element 5303051140 and the lower should read closed for continuity and show an ohm resistance. You will need to test the elements for continuity. If closed, they are good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

What is involved with replacing this element, just taking off back of inside of oven? My element is broken apart on the curve, the element going into back inside panel is not effected.
Answer Hello Donna. To replace this element you should not have to remove the back of the stove. You should be able to unscrew the retainer plate from the back of the oven and slide the old element out and plug the new one in. I hope this info helps!
