Our clothes are coming out with tears. I believe we have determined it to be the dryer causing the issue. I've read the felt seals will cause this. Is that correct?

Answer Hello Brandon. You do need to replace the top felt seal 134440200 and the lower felt seal 5303937183. Also, when you replace this, make sure you replace the rear bearing kit 5303281153 in the unit.

Dryer has a mild clicking noise while running. Strings and other items get stuck between the drum and surrounding assembly. It doesn't seem to be getting worse. Am I correct to assume that the rear bearing and front felt are going bad? Other thoughts?

Answer Hello Ryan, You will want to check the glide 137513300 on the front of the unit. You will want to pull the front panel off and check the seals, glide and support.

I don't see the felt seal that is at the back of my dryer, that the drum seals to, in the parts list. Can it be replaced? As mine is missing in a couple spots. Thank You, Bruce

First off, you guys seem awesome with all the answers! Here's my problem that I should've gotten taken care of during the warranty- Once the dryer heats up, it makes a rythmic squeek/screech/squeal. It also eats strings and other clothes (gets caught between what seems to be the body and the rotating drum. I'd be happy to buy whatever is necessary from this www! Thanks in advance for the help!!

Answer Charles, Once you remove power to the dryer, and the front panel, You'll most likely find that something small has lodged in the felt seals and or the drum glide has worn out and failed. Based on your description, the most likely parts you'll need are : 137513300 drum glide, 5303937182 upper drum seal, 5303937183 lower drum seal. Thanks

Is it natural for the drum bearing assembly to have upward play in it. THE FELT IS COMPLETELY GONE ON THE TOP OF THE FACE. I took the drum out and can move the wheel that the drum attaches too in an upward direction. Should it be rigid with no movement.

Answer Hello Dave. Yes, the drum is removed by lifting the assembly upward. However, If the front seal is bad, it is best to replace the rear bearing kit 5303281153 at the same time in the units.

Hi, I am the guy who asked about dryer noise..shoes in the drum. The answer that you gave and the parts was perpect, all I hear now is wispher. Now I have problem with the heat,it takes so long to dry clothes even when it is in the maximun setting. Thanks for the help before and for now.

Answer Hello Willy. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.

It started with continous noise then lately with a banging noise like a shoes is in the drum dryer. Noise come from the rear side, the fabric gasket on top is folded or glued to half round metal frame,on lower frame the gasket is open seem glue gave up. How do you install the bearing,do you install on the drum first then to the back frame? or install to back frame then the drum? so far I think your website is better than Sears.

Answer Hello Wilfredo. It is best to replace the complete kit 5303281153. You will attach the bearing to the drum and the cup assembly to the rear wall, then set the drum bearing ball into the cup with some grease in the cup.

My dryer is leaving a fine shredded whitish nylon like stuff on my clothes. Also There is a thumping noise, and a swishing sound.

Answer Hello Nancy. The white nylon shreds could be the drum glide 137513300, you will need to buy a quantity of two for the drum. You will also want to replace the upper felt 5303937182 and lower felt 5303937183. Also check the rear drum kit 5303281153, thanks!
