I have a Kenmore refrigerator that is in great working order! But the O ring for the water filter cup has been recently misplaced, Can I buy just he O ring that comes in this assembly? AP3363492

Answer Cal, Unfortunately the o ring cannot be purchased separately. You will need to get the filter cup and housing 241521304 for the o ring.

Purchased and replace broker filter housing. Now water dispenser works. Ice maker goes through cycle. but no water goes into unit and no ice. Water now goes through the door dispenser. Frs23KE4A, No water goes into the ice maker which appears to go through a complete cycle. So, now that I spent $35; do I need a valve-pump and what is the cost?

Answer Gary, You will want to pull the icemaker out of unit and check the fill tube to make sure that it is not frozen. This is the most likely cause of the icemaker not filling with ice.

We need to replace the outside cover for the filter. When my husband took it out, the Styrofoam that was surrounding the water lines was broken into pieces. Do we need to get new styrofoam and if so where do we purchase it to fit inside the filter/water line area? Thanks!

Answer Hello Gina, You definitely need the insulation because even with the insulation, if the temperature drops too low, this model has an issue with the filter cup freezing and bursting. The part number for the insulation is 240394102.

My filter unit froze and cracked so I have purchaced a new one from you. How do I remove the in and out water lines with out damaging to install the new unit?

Answer Hello John. Press in the the plastic fittings on the waterlines, and they will pull off the filter housing 241521304. These are compression fittings and that is the way you release the lines.

Thank you for your answer to my original question -- Replaced the cracked filter housing with yours -- water dispenser very slow, no ice (yes, I moved the arm back down so it would start making ice again). What can I do? It worked fine before I replaced the filter housing. Asked by Leah for Model FRS23R4AQ6 Hello Leah. Make sure the water lines going into the filter housing are connected correctly. If so, you may need to replace the filter AP2539088 in the unit if it was not replaced when the housing AP3363492 was replaced. --- Yes, the water connections clicked into place and fit tightly, and it was a new filter (the correct one). Answer Hello Leah. In reference to checking the lines, If you reverse the lines on the unit, it cycles backwards and reduces pressure. You can remove the filter from the unit and test the unit without the filter,just the cap screwed on and see if the new filter may be the issue. If the lines going to the housing are wrong or crimped, that can cause this issue.

Answer Hello Leah. Make sure the water lines going into the filter housing are connected correctly. If so, you may need to replace the filter WF1CB in the unit if it was not replaced when the housing 241521304 was replaced.
