The drum is making a howling sound. Clothing will get stuck at the front of the drum causing them to burn. would that be the felt seal or the bearing gone bad or both?

We have ordered the felt replacement for the front of our dryer. The directions say about 1/8" of the felt will extend over the lip of the arch. Our dryer front has a lip on it that will not allow for the exending of 1/8" of the felt over the lip. How are we to assemble?

At the front lower section of the drum, there is alot of room between the drum and the wall of the dryer, (about 3/8 of an inch). At the top it seems fine. The problem I'm having is that the clothes are getting hung up and it's ripping them. What do you think?

I was having problems with my dryer catching clothes in the front between the rotating part and front wall. It would catch and then burn. I cut down the load size and since we have not had the issue. Now every time we do laundry the clothes come out with small holes. Not sure if it is the washer or dryer, but believe its the dryer. The gap between the wall and the drum is significant. When I push up on the top of the drum it is like it picks it up off the base and evens out. When I do this the gap disappears. It's almost like something is missing that it used to sit on. Thoughts?

The front of the drum has alot of play in it, you can raise or lower it about 1/4 of a inch. Every year for the past three years sears has come out and replaced top seal but none of them have had plastic guides as yours shows. First it was putting brown spots on alot of clothes, but this time it was doing the same and also ripping alot of our clothes and are warranty agreement has expired. I feel sears put the wrong seal on. The bearing-drum support, bearing brakcet, and bearing seem to be okay. No noise or movement on rear of the drum like the front has.

My dryer is making a horrible screeching noise. Need to know what part I need to make this sound go away! The heavier the load the worse the sound is. Thanks
