I need a new door seal. The seal on the door measures 2' x 5'.
Answer Hello Tom. Sorry, we do not offer parts for this model.
Ordered door gasket and received correct part. Have installed per directions. When you close the door it will not seal. Can you help?
Answer Hello William,
The door seal has probably got creases from being folded in the shipping box. This is easily dealt with by using a hair dryer. Heat the door seal until it is so hot it is almost impossible to touch. Use a popsicle stick or something else blunt that will not damage the seal to help manipulate the seal so it contacts the cabinet. When you have gone all the way around the door, let the door stay closed until it has cooled off. When the seal cools, it will retain the shape it was in when it cooled so it will keep the proper shape. If the situation is that the new seal is too thick to allow the door to seal, you may have to use a shoebox to cut out spacers to fit behind the door hinges. This is sometimes necessary when the new door seal is thicker than the original.
Need the rubber seal for my Frigidaire upright refrigerator. What part # should I be looking for? And is it easy to install?
The part number for the door seal is 216522309. To install you will have to loosen the screws that are located around the perimeter of the door panel under the gasket. Once loosened you want to pull the old gasket out and new gasket edge goes behind the door panel.
Just received an ancient looking Westinghouse freezer that seems to be ingood condition, except for the door gasket. We are unable to find a model number, but the door measures are as follows: W 30"' H 60 1/8, D 1 1/4 The unit itself measures: W 30", H 64", D 27 1/4
What gasket do you recommend?
Answer Hello Suzanna! Without an appliance model number we can not guarantee the manufacturer replacement gasket listed for your unit. We do, however, have a universal gasket available. The part number is TJ90SU2004. This gasket will fit a door with the max size of 36" X 84". You willneed to cut the gasket to fit the length of your door. Thanks!
What door gasket/seal will work for my model?
Answer Janice, the replacement door gasket is part number 3206246. Thanks!
What would be the problem if the freeer frosts up a few days after defrosting?
Answer Diane, The door seal/gasket is a good place to start, make sure it is not toen or deformed. and seals against the cabinet from flange properly(use a piece of thick writing paper or dollar bill, close the door on the paper and pull it out, there should be some minor difficulty"drag" on the paper. You will also want to check the drain plug and drain tube in the bottom of the compartment, make sure the plug is installed and seated properly. Thanks and Good Luck
