I am not sure if this upright White-Westinghouse freezer needs a new gasket or not - it appears to seal all around the door except in the top left corner area. The seal looks clean and in very good condition considering the age of the freezer. Is there any other remedy for this problem? Also, what door seal part should I purchase if I do decide to go that route?

We have a Frigidaire Upright Frostfree Commercial Freezer with the model number I typed in, serial number WB54825501. The door seal is leaking, however appears in good shape except for one area near the bottom hinge. In about 12 inches on the long side the gasket has gotten a dimpled appearance. It's leaking there as frost is building up inside the freezer door in that area. This freezer gasket has screws under the gasket. Will trying to heat the dimpled area of the gasket with a hair dryer then using something like a popsicle stick to straighten it out perhaps help? We hate to go to the effort of buying and replacing the entire gasket if this might work. Also the video shown near the gasket I should order shows a gasket replacement on a refrigerator which has no screws in the gasket. So if we need to purchase a replacement gasket, do we have to remove all the screws under the old gasket completely or only loosen them? Also, a plastic washer which goes around under the lower door hinge has split and is sticking out. Could that be having any effect on the door gasket and how and what part would we use to replace this washer? Thanks for any suggestions you can offer. Kathi
