We are having issues with our Frigidaire FER641CFS0 front load dryer. Items are getting caught between the drum glide and the felt seal and dragged around when the dryer is running. I noticed there is a larger gap along the bottom between the glide and felt seal and where I think items are getting caught. At this point I'm not sure what the problem might be - whether the felt seal should be replaced, or if the drum is pointing slight upwards to create the gap. I've done a bit of research and see there are the drum glides (which look ok to me), the felt seals (upper and lower), as well as the rear bearing kit that might all be related to this issue. Can you let me know your thoughts?

The Teflon spacers around my drum have gone bad (worn thin) and dryer is making terrible noises. I do not see them listed in the diagram. Are they called "vanes"? Do I have to replace the whole drum because these little spacers have gone bad?

Hello - Dryer is squealing so bearings or guides or assembly-shaft needs replacing from what I read... Is there a maintenance kit that contains all the right bits and pieces for a DIY repair job? Thanks!

The coil on my heating element assembly is broken and needs to be replaced. While I have the dryer apart, do you think I should also replace the thermostat? I dont want a faulty thermostat destroying my new heating element.

I am replacing the heater in my dryer and would like to do some PM as well. I thought I saw a kit that contained the belt, rear bearing kit and felts but I have not been able to locate. Also, does this dryer have the glides?

Our dryer is leaving brown marks on our clothing. I know we need to replace the drum glide. Do I need to order one or two? Also, our clothes are getting snagged around the inside of the opening. Do I need to also order the seal? I want to be sure I order everything needed at same time.

Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful

I am trying to replace the dryer drum glides, and it appears that some of the clips on the back of the glides "lock-in' nicely to the drum, however the ones at the beginning and end of the glides, seem to fit very loosely in the holes. Is it supposed to be this way? I am concerned that the loose fit will allow the leading edge of the glide to snag the felt joints. Should all of the clips on the back of the glides "click" into place, or are some of the holes a in the drum slightly larger than the others? Thanks!
