I have just bought a house with this oven in place. I have all stainless appliances and would like to know what it would cost and if the parts are available to convert this range to Stainless (ew30gs65gs). It would need the following items: Cooktop, Control panel housing, 4 knobs, Oven door complete w/ handle, Lower warmer door w /handle, Thanks, Dan
Dan for Model Number Electrolux ew30gs65gw
Answer Hi Dan, There is a digit missing at the end of your model number. There should be a number or letter after the "GW". For example: ew30gs65gW"2". When you find out what number is at the end of your model, we can look up the parts on the comparable stainless model. Another thing, the door and drawer are not sold as complete assemblies. You have to buy the glass panels and any other parts unique to the stainless model. Hope this helps!

Kaylie for Model Number 790.78622400
Answer Hello Kaylie. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it.
The inner glass has slipped down just a bit allowing mostier between the inner and outer glass.
Can I make the repair without replacining the inner glass.
Is there a casket or another part to prevent the glass form slipping again?
Rene for Model Number Frigidaire PLES389ECH slide in ove/range
Answer Rene, You'll have to dismantle the oven door to check and service the inner door glass/barrier. Glass slippage is not a "common" issue, but does occur occasionally. Here are some "basics": "1. Fully open the oven door (horizontal with floor). 2. Pull the door hinge locks on both left and right door hinges down from the oven frame completely towards the oven door (See photo A). A tool such as a small flat-blade screwdriver may be required. 3. Close the door until it contacts the hinge locks. 4. Firmly grasp both sides of oven door along the door
sides (Do not use the oven door handle). 5. Lift the oven door hinge arms over the roller pins located on each side of the oven frame. Disassemble Door 1. Place the door with the handle side down on a protected work surface. The handle should hang off the edge of the bench or table. 2. Remove the bottom screws that secure the inner liner to the outer door panel. 3. Remove the two handle mounting screws and remove the door handle. 4. Carefully separate the inner door panel and hinge assembly from the outer panel. Place the
assembly with the hinge side hanging slightly off the work surface. 5. Remove the two hinge mounting screws and lower the hinge assembly away from the inner door panel. 6. Install new hinge and reverse the steps to reassemble the oven door." Your oven door may be slightly different, but this information should get you to the inner glass panel and you should be able to realign and secure the glass from there. Good Luck and Thanks
Crack in inner glass door. Which part do I need and can you provide instructions on how to replace?
Richard C. for Model Number gkef378cqd
Answer Hello Richard. The correct part number for the inner door glass is 316117500. You will need to remove the door from the oven. To do this, open the door to the half way point and lift the door off the oven. Lay the door on a soft surface to disassemble the door. You will need to remove the screws holding the door together. Then remove the cracked glass. Reinstall with new glass in reverse order. Hope this helps.
