Hi Paul i just installed a new beta board control its been about a week, now I have a new problem its not defrosting anymore? its this problem related to the board? in other words the board controls the defrosting unit?. Also I noticed that the temperature readings were unsteady they were going up and down like from 0 degrees to 12 degrees this in the freezer area and the refrigerator as well, and the light in the freezer was flickering after I opened it for like 8 seconds but at first the light is OK than it was ok after 5 days so it make me think that the beta board control was not functioning right or the appropriate for my refrigerator.

After reading the question and answer that I copied and pasted below, I bought a digital multimeter in order to test the 2 parts mentioned. After reading the tutorial I am still not clear how to proceed. When trying to test the thermostat defrost (part AP2150145) I unplugged the fridge and unhooked the two connectors for the part in order to isolate the part. When I insert the multimeter prongs the reading goes from 1 to between .1 and .2. I am not sure what this means or if I am doing the test correctly. Please advise. Question and Answer I am basing this question off of: My system works fine for a few days then the evaporator freezes up and then both side won't cool properly. What you think it may be? Miguel for Model Number PLHS69EESS2 Answer Hello Miguel. You will need to test the defrost heater 242044113 and thermostat 5303918214. They should read closed for continuity when cold. If they are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer 5303918340. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read more: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-heater-defrost-242044113-ap4527302.html#qa1#ixzz2IxEq7XUd http://www.appliancepartspros.com

I put my fridge in storage and when i took it out and hooked it up the freezer will not get below 30 degrees and the fridge will not get lower than 60 degrees. The evaporator fan will not run and the coil keeps freezing up. I have pulled the cover off and defrosted the coil 4 times and every time I turn it back on it freezes up again but never gets below 30 degrees in the freezer. What could be wrong?

If I check continuity for 30 ohms and don't get any reading does this indicate the defrost heater is bad? This fridge has already had the ADC board replaced as well as the defrost thermostat. The damper assy is broken between the motor and post so the damper door doesn't close either.
