The blade on spiral shaft has disconnected from the shaft and will not dispence ice. Can the part be replaced or do I have to purchase the whole ice container?
You do not have to replace complete bucket assembly in order to replace the drive blade 241684501. You may also want to check the ice auger screw 241716101 to ensure that it is not damaged as well. Just keep in mind when you remove the blades from the ice bucket to pay close attention and even possibly mark them and the washers as to how they come off and go on. Not doing this and getting the blades back on wrong will cause the unit to not crush or dispense ice properly.
My refrigerator is a Kenmore. Will this ice bucket assembly fit my Kenmore?
Answer Hi Dennis, That is correct, part# 241860803 is the correct bucket for your model. Thanks!
I replaced my ice maker, everythin works great, I have another small problem. My ice tray has rust on the steel part. Is this able to be cleaned, does it need to be replaced? Are the metal parts on this tray made of stainless steel?
Answer Gary, if the ice bucket parts are rusting they will need to be replaced. Unfortunately, we do not have the specs available on the parts to verify if the metal parts are steel. For a complete ice container assembly use part number 241860803. Thanks!
Ice-maker doesn't make ice. If I replace ice container assembly would that fix problem?
Answer Hello Tony! Have you checked to see if the icemaker is filling with water? If its not, it could possibly be the icemaker 5304458371 or the inlet water valve 242252702. The icemaker should be sending voltage to the water inlet valve, if the valve is receiving the voltage and not filling then it is defective. However, if it fills than it would be the icemaker that is at fault. Also check to make sure that the water inlet tube is not clogged and that the freezer is at 0 to 3 degrees. Hope this information helps you, thanks!
