the ice maker near the auger is all rustyin the bin how can i stop it from rusting itook it aprt and clean it
Answer Jerry, are you on a well, or in a hard water area with lots of iron or manganese in the water? You may want to remove the icemaker, or use a mirror and look in the mold assembly and see if the ice cube mold has lost the lining. Thanks and Good Luck
I have the same problem as Yarnie above. The auger turns, but the drum and drive bar don't turn. Is the drive bar supposed to be welded or otherwise fastened to the auger, and is the drive bar supposed to somehow be fastened into the groves on the plastic drum? If so, what fastens these three parts together?
Answer Hi Rita. A few tips. Yes all these parts are to turn together. The ice bin needs to be removed, cleaned and dried once a month or so so ice chips do not build up and freeze. Holding parts together and breaking them. Make sure the ice bin is fully inserted into the auger motor teeth for proper operation. The ice bin assembly is part # 241860801. Thank you.
