Had a dead ice maker and replaced it in September of this year with your part #24179820. New ice maker worked fine at first, but now water sometimes overflows and freezes in cube bin. Is it possible that the replacement unit is defective, or do I now have a problem with the water valve? Freezer temperature is set at the middle setting. I don't think it's too cold.

For about 40 seconds before the ice maker dumps ice, it makes a regular, (about once every second) loud clicking sound. Also, it continues to make ice after the bin is full. Sometimes four or five of the ice cubes are stuck together. Your thoughts? Thanks

Our icemaker stopped releasing the ice cubes from the tray. The heater is working. I tried advancing the gears manually to initiate the cycle, and it works just fine, but it will not do it automatically. The cubes are just fine. The freezer temperature is 0*F plus or minus 2. The water fills just fine, and I replaced the filter. I defrosted the freezer This refrigerator is only 3 months old. I would appreciate any help with this issue. Thank you!

My icemaker is not working properly. We shut off and defrosted the freezer for 24 hours (the freezer setting was on 4), plugged it back in around 730 last night, turned the temp gauges to the factory setting and this at morning at 6 a.m. we found a tray of ice but the ice did not eject into the auger bin. I broke the ice free and watched the ice cube levers go around. It felt like 2 minutes before I heard the water flow into the tray but it was very quick and then the water stopped. It sounded as though the tray did not fill with water with how quick the water turned on and then off. The arm is moving up and down but it doesn't seem like its going at its normal speed. Do I need to replace the ice maker unit or can you offer me other trouble shooting ideas. Thank you

Which Ice Maker should I buy? 241798201 or 5304458371? They seem very alike, and when i start the search to buy the Ice Maker, both part numbers appear, in different web pages.
