My gas dryer does not heat. However I smell gas when I turn the dryer on. The smell goes when the dryer is turned off.
Answer Hello Reno. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter to see if it is good. If it is not glowing, test for power. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My dryer is taking long to dry my clothes I have to restart it four or five times for my clothes to get dry.
Answer Hello Juan,
You will want to check your venting on the unit to make sure that it is clear from blower all the way to the outside of home.
My dryer isn't getting hot enough to dry my clothes. Sometimes it will and other times I have to re-start four or five times for my clothes to dry.
Answer Hello Juan, You need to check your dryer venting for restrictions. Clean out any lint from the lint trap, duct and blower assembly. If you still have issues, refer to this helpful link about common dryer problems. Hope this helps!
Code E68 AND STOP WORKING AFTER 1MIN.
Answer Hello Niko. Check for a stuck button on the control panel. If none is found, you will need to order and replace the control board 134557201.
dryer runs...no heat and the igniter does light up...any thoughts?
Answer Nick, as long as the igniter cycles off in a few seconds, and you're sure you have gas suppllied, then the most likely issue is a weak or "open" gas valve coil 5303931775 set. Thanks and Good Luck
Dryer will not heat up. Runs fine. Just no heat. What can I do? What would you suggest?
Answer Hi Chris. Please check your vent and outside hood / cap assy. for proper operation. The most common part for no- heat with a gas dryer is an igniter failure. This part is part # 134393700. Thank you.
