My front burners work fine, but my back burners don't want to lite up. There's good gas flow and I hear the igniter clicking and I see the igniter spark moving all around except straight up to the burner. Thank you.
Answer Hello John,
You will need to check for a good ground around the burner. You see, the spark is electricity looking for ground. If you make sure you have a good ground at the burner, the spark will jump right to the burner and ignite the gas properly. Many times there will be a spill during cooking and this, if it gets between two pieces of metal, it can prevent the two pieces of metal from making good electrical contact and the spark will jump to the next best ground. This is easiest to understand if you think of it as electricity looking for the easiest path to ground.
How do I replace part number 316237805?
Answer Hello Dave. Remove all burner top plates and burners. Place them aside in order of removal. Unscrew the orifice mount 2-screws under each burner. This allows the top to be lifted up and supported by a top prop or a wooden support underneath the top. Then unscrew the ignitor assy. part # 316237805 from the burner valve/manifold and replace it.
The oven will not light. The ignitor will glow but the gas will not turn on. How do I tell if its the ignitor or the valve?
Answer Hello John. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. does the ignitor assembly 316237701 come with the 2 screws 316240600 that hold it in place
Answer Hello Harry,
I'm sorry to say that the ignitor normally does not come with the mounting screws. These 4159193 will have to be ordered separately.
When I try to turn on oven, sometimes it won't light even though the igniter is glowing. What is the problem?

There are 5 burners of which left front burner does not click when turn the knob to light it. But I can light it with a match. All other burners click and light when turn the knob. I think igniter has gone bad but not sure. Any suggestions and what part needs to be purchased?
You will want to check the ignition switch to make sure that it is good. With gas turned off you would access the burner valve. You would check the switch for continuity. Turn the switch on and if there is no continuity then you would need to replace switch. If switch checks ok then you want to check the igniter for cracks or breaks.
Hi three of the burners light good the right front won't click and light. It will light with a lighter. What part do you think I need?
Answer Hello Rich,
In order to determine exactily what you need to replace you will want to check the burner switch. Unplug unit and turn off gas, check for continuity on the burner switch. In the off positon you should have an open circuit and in on positon you should have a closed circuit. If this checks ok then you will want to check your wiring from the switches to the spark module. If this checks ok then you would want cehck the ignitor and ignitor wire for continuity. If ok then you would want to replace the spark module.
My left front burner does not click when you turn the knob to light it. You can light it with a match. The other three burners click and light when you turn the knob. My guess is that this is the ignitor that is bad?
Answer Hello Darren,
While it is possible that the ignitor 316011200 could be faulty you will want to check the burner switch 316103600 and the spark module 316135702. Check ignitor continuity with it unplugged. If no continuity it is faulty. Also check for cracks or breaks in the ignitor casing.
This burner takes a long tiime to light. This is the only one out of five that has this problem. Is it the igniter?
Answer Hello Mike,
You will want to make sure that the venturi tube is clean and that the ignitor spark is not bouncing around. Make sure the area around the burner and ignitor are clean.
