I bought a lid lock switch for my washer but it did'nt help. What could stop my pump from working and the rinse and spin cycle from functioning?
Answer Hello Tim. Test for power coming to the pump assembly. If there is power there, and it does not drain, you will need to replace the pump in the unit.
Is there any way to bypass the lid lock switch to make it work?
Answer Hello Tim. Sorry, we can not advise to bypass the switch.
Will a lock switch made by GE fit a frigidaire washing machine?
Answer Hello Patricia! We can not recommend that a GE fit a Frigidaire and vice versa. You can always try the part and return it within 365 days if it does not fit your unit. Here is our return policy link for you to view. Thanks! http://www.appliancepartspros.com/customerservice/returns.aspx

How do you lift up the top to release it to replace lid latch?
Answer Hello Fred,
Remove the two screws in the bottom of the front panel and let the panel slide down toward the floor and it will pull off. This will allow access to the screws that retain the main top, one on each side of the unit.
Will not spin.
Answer Hello John,
You need to first check the lid switch. If it checks out ok, there are multiple things to check depending on whether you hear a hum or click or no sound at all. If you could please re-post with further symptoms, we can give a more detailed diagnosis. GLWS1339ES1
