Ordered conversion kit natural gas to propane it came with 20 orifices
Answer Hello Donald. The kit is a kit that is used with many models. You will use 4 of the 9.5k orifices for your model.
Looking for a conversion kit for a Tappan Range Model# TGF657BFB6. To convert from natural gas to LP. Is there a kit available for this range? Thank you
Answer Hello Bill. This model is convertible. You adjust the orifices and flip the regulator to convert the unit. 1. Lift cooktop to gain access to the surface burner
2. With ½" wrench, turn spud down or clockwise until
snug (approximately 2 ½ turns). This restricts the
flow of gas through spud to that allowed only by the
hollow LP metering pin. Do not overtighten. 3. Lower main top and apply gas to check for proper
flame size. Flame should be steady with
approximately ½" blue inner cones and no yellow or
orange tips. Proper Air Adjustment
If air shutter is adjusted so that too much air flows into
the burner, the flame will appear unsteady, possibly
not burning all the way around and will be noisy (like
a blow torch). Do Not Remove the Pressure Regulator
Remove cap-screw and snap out the nylon gas
indicator by pushing it sideways. Turn the nylon gas
indicator for type gas (Natural or LP) and snap it back
in the cap-screw. Put cap-screw back on gas
Need conversion kit to change from NAT to LP gas.
Do you have such a kit, or can you provide individual
orfices to do this?
Answer Hello Phil. This unit is convertible and does not offer a kit. You flip the regulator and adjust the orifices for LP to convert it.
