I have a Frigidaire washer that won't spin, and smells like electrical burning. I can turn the pulley under the transmission one way but not the other. On top I can spin the agitator one direction it free wheels, and the other it spins the basket.

Hello, the washer seems to be stuck in drain mode. Water does run to fill but it constantly drains. The only way to stop it from draining is to flip the breaker. It does not seem to be a siphoning issue. Any ideas? Thank you

Wanted to to see if my motor or transmission is gone on my washer machine. It seems to pump out fine and do the spin cycle fine. During the wash cycle when the agitator is supposed to move there was a burning smell and the agitator does not move. I took off the front panel to see what is going on. The motor/pulley spins but the belt is not moving during the wash cycle. During the spin cycle the motor moves the drum fine. I think it might be the motor.
