Washer fills then nothing. However it does drain and spin out with no problem. Is the motor bad?
This issue would not be with the motor on the unit since the motor works during spin. The most likely cause would be a faulty timer not closing the contacts to put the unit into spin.
131761200 is the old motor the new motor is 13459500. the only problem is one wire we don't know about is the purple wire . Need to know if we need to move purple wire
Answer Hello Bart,
Since there was no model number listed on your post, I was unable to look to see if the part number you quoted is correct for your model or not but in crossing the original part number you listed, it appears that you do not have the correct part for your unit. If you could please re-post with the model number from your units' I.D. tag, we can look it up for you and make sure you have the correct part to install in you unit. As per our information, part number 131761200 should cross to 134156400. 13459500 does not even come up as a valid part number so we really need to investigate this further for you.
Washer machine started smoking from the tub what could.
In most cases a washer that starts smoking from the tub could be something that is caught between the tubs, the bearings going bad, or the spinner support being damage. It is also possible that the tub is not rotating properly and causing the belt to smoke.
Washer fills up and just hums. Motor smells hot replaced timer and drain pump within last 2 weeks.
This issue would be caused by a bad motor on the unit. With the timer and drain pump being replaced and the motor just humming and smelling hot, the motor windings would be bad and just trying to run off the start winding.
Washer works fine just does not spin clothes out enough they are to wet.
Answer Hello Wanda. You will need to check the clutch and the belt on the unit.
