I need help finding the apropriate replacemnet for my White Westinghouse 1970s dryer motor
Serial number: DCL 13502
The motor's information plate read as following
Thermally protected Type T FHT
Answer Hello Mohamed,
I'm sorry but we have to use the model number to look up the part numbers. This is just how appliance parts are listed and located. Most of the time when a "model number" shows up on the part, only the manufacturer and their vendors can determine what appliances they go to and what manufacturers' part number it can be ordered by. On an appliance this age it would not surprise me to find out that it is no longer listed. In this case, assistance would have to come from an antique appliance restoration company or the like.
I disassembled my washer until there was only the motor and its still making a loud noise. Motor pn 134693300.
Answer Hello Tim,
If the motor is the only thing still connected and the noise is still present, the motor is obviously the issue.
My dryer when turned on goes to hums and goes straight to pause. It won't turn except when I manually spin the drum
Answer Hello Mrs Dancy. Based on the information you provided, the motor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.
The machine makes a hum noise, than snap and nothing happens?
Answer ED, Sounds like the motor/blower may be jammed 131775610 with a small article, or the motor windings have failed 137115900, if you're sure you have 220 - 240 VAC to the dryer terminal block, you may want to start there..
