Have a Frigidaire dish washer M # GLD4355RFB0.
After the washer has completed its full wash/dry cycle (LED display says clean) the motor pump continues to run and will stay running until you open the door. Anytime you close the door the motor pump will start running again. The pump also appears to have a thumping sound to it.
Also noticed that when I pulled out base and filter assembly there was a water level up to / just below the filter assembly.
Thank you for any help.
Answer Bill, You would have a failed relay (stuck closed) on the control board 154757002 whenever the door switch is closed, the power is supplied to the control board and out to the motor, because the relay is stuck. The "thumping" noise is most likely normal, once the water has been drained the pump starts to suck air, this will make a "sucking" or thump noise. As for water under the filter screen, this is normal, water seeks it's lowest level, and there is always some water left in the pump housing.
Hello, I have a Fridgidaire dishwasher that is only 2 years old. When the washer is on going thru its, "supposed cycle", nothing happens. At all. It fills with water, acts like its running, then drains, but nothing actually ever cycles. Arms do not spin, water does not flow from them anywhere. I have been searching, and it looks possible the main pump is bad? Any ideas? It does heat up, and fill with water. Help!
Answer Hello Ryan. If there is power to the motor and it does not run, you will need to replace the motor kit 154844101 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My circulator pump is leaking ? I removed it and replaced both o rings, ran a cycle and it still leaks? What can I do?
You will want to check for cracks around the housing where the circulation pump goes into it and for cracks around the pump itself. If the housing checks ok then you would want to replace the circulation motor 154844101.
Hello I have fridgidare dishwasher. It is making a loud noise when it runs. I think motor the is on when making noise. Rinse water is ok , washes ok, but not as good as before. Could it be the motor defects.
You will want to pull the pump apart and check inside the pump to ensure that there is no debris inside the pump that could cause the noise and slow water pumping. If this checks ok then the motor kit would be what you would want to replace.
This dishwasher is about 4 years old but used for 3 years lightly. After water filled, wash cycle starts, however, it makes continuous noise during wash cycle. there is no sign of leaks. It seems Washer drains OK but I am not 100% sure. I pulled out the motor ( Johnson DCJ72 (4)MLG, 120v, 60hz, P/N 154793001 ) and checked any blockage with debries, there was none. Motor and impeller looked OK. I put it back, hoping no more noise, disapointments. Please tell me your expert opinion and suggestions what to do. Motor or drain pump? If motor, what is replacement P/N. If drain, what P/N. It will be appreciated very much for your earliest reply. Thank you in advance. Kenneth Model #: FGHD2433KF
Answer Hello Kenneth. If you disassembled the sump assembly and found nothing inside the motor impeller, then you will need to replace the motor 154844101 on the unit. Make sure nothing is in the pump A00126401 as well on the unit.
