The water does not come out of the top arm. The bottom arm is fine.
Tom for Model Number FDB679GFC2
Answer Hello Tom. Check the water level and make sure it is high enough in the unit. Also, make sure the filters are clean. If so, replace the motor kit in the unit.
same question about the green wire for the new electrical connection. WHere does it connect
John for Model Number Frigidaire GPDB998JC0
Answer John, Green colored wires in appliances are Ground wires and need to be attached to the chassis ( bare metal) or an existing Green wire or connection. In a lot of cases, due to redesigns, and substitutions, the ground wire is no longer needed, because the ground circuit has been Re routed through the component, and is completed through the neutral leg of the circuit, when and where possible.
I received the new part but on the existing unit there is a sensor which goes thru the large plastic bottom and there is no hole to put it through

Answer John, are you sure you used the correct sump housing and followed the instructions ? " 1.Per Factory This Kit Contains 2) Orings, 2)sump Housings, 2.Instructions, 1) Bracket/Motor And 1) Pump & Motor Assy". If necessary, you could re use the original sump assembly, if theres no damage to it.
Recently a spoon got caught in the lower spray arm and now the motor makes a high pitch squealing sound at start-up and the dishwasher doesn't fill with water. I checked the impeller and there is no damage to it and it turns freely. Do I need to replace the motor? Thanks.
Conway for Model Number MDP531RFR2
Answer Hello Conway. If the unit is not filling with water, that is the noise you are hearing. You need to check and see if the float is stuck up and if the float is good on the unit. If the float is good, and there is power to the water valve, but no water, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit.
My Frigidaire dishwasher stopped washing dishes. The control panel seems to work and water (some, but not a lot) is getting into the dishwasher during the wash cycle. However, the spray arms are not spraying during the wash cycle even though I hear the normal hum throughout the cycle. When I cancel the cycle, the water is purged out. Is it a problem with the motor?
Stephen for Model Number Frigidaire Dishwasher model GPDB998JC0
Answer Hi Stephan. RE#move power. Remove dish racks. Remoe wash arms to see if they are plugged w/ debris and needs a pick too to cleart the holes and invert them under sink water to rinse them out. Then you need a shop wet/vac and a torx type T-15 or 20 size screwdriver to start at the top of the inner filter intake . Remove all and clean as necessary. Lay aside in order as you know how to exactly reassemble them. Then Inspect all parts for being clogged or broken. If the impellor at the motor is broken then you will loose pressure as well as any filters being clogged to slow or stop pressure. If there is no visible part needing replaced and the unit is filling to the usual under the heater regular fill, then you will need a motor kit part # 154859501. If the water valve will not fill to a regular fill then the water valve is part # 154637401. Thank You.
Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
I'm installing this now and I see that the wire connectors have changed. My question is what to do with the green wire? I assume it's the ground but I don't see where to ground it. Do I attach it to the motor housing somehow or is anywhere metal ok?
thank you
Mickey
Answer Hello Mickey. You are correct about the green wire being a ground. We will need the model number locate the wiring diagram and see if we can provide assistance. Thanks!
