HI, I WILL LIKE TO CHANGE MY UNDER THE COUNTER WASHER TO A STANDING, AND WILL LIKE TO KNOW HOW THE FRONT TOP PANEL IS BEING LOCKED INTO PLACE.
Answer Hello Kathleen, There will be screws in the back of the unit that are holding the top in place. When you remove them the top will lift off for you. Once the top is off you will see what's holding the control panel in place, if that's what you're trying to remove. Thanks.
I would like to place my washing machine and dryer under a counter. They have been stacked. Do I need tops for both units or can I just place a counter top over them? Thank you!
Answer Hello Benita,
Normally every unit has it's own top even if it's been stacked. If this isn't the case, I do strongly recommend putting one on as this prevents items from being dropped into them. Keep in mind, the washer has 120Vac inside it plus it's carrying water. Remember, water and electricity don't get along. The dryer, unless it's a gas unit, carries 240Vac. While 120Vac can kill you, 240Vac can produce twice the current flow. The main tops are not necessary for normal operation, but at the same time, they are necessary for basic safety purposes.
I recently unstacked my washer from my dryer, a frigidaire (fse446rhs1). I wanted to put my top panel back on and I have the brackets(AP2107397) that holds the back down but how is the front end held down?
Answer Fred, the front end of the top washer panel is locked into place on tabs on the cabinet. When you install the top panel, you will start it flat about 3 to 4 inches back from the front control panel and slide it forward to lock the bottom lip into the tabs to hold the front down. Hope this helps you, thanks!
I need to install a top on my washer . Do I need a bracket or other hardware to do this?
Answer Hi Jenny. There are 2- hinges that you will need to remove from the back of existing top. Then try to slide the top forward to lift up . Then put new top on and reinstall rear brackets. The top is part # 134086842. Thank you.
I need to install a top on my washer. Do I need brackets or other hardware to do this? The washer is now installed under a counter with no top and I wish to make it a stand alone.
Answer Hello Richard. Check and make sure the brackets on the washer are still there. If so, you will need to order the top assembly 134086842, and the top panel brackets 131668200. You will need to order two of the brackets. Hope this helps.
