The wash machine will not discharge the water in the tub. It seems to fill Ok and aggitate Ok, and will not remove the water from the take. Do I need a pump, and where can I get instructions on how to repair and replace this pump?
Ron for Model Number FLSE72GCS8
Answer Hello Ron. First, unplug the unit and remove the two screws at the bottom of the front panel. Pull the panel outward and remove it from the washer. Next, access the hose going from the tub to the pump and remove it and see if the pump or the hose is clogged. If not, you will test for power coming to the pump assembly in drain mode. If there is power there, and the pump does not drain the water, you will need to replace the drain pump 131268401 on the washer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Our washer showes a code of E20 can you tell me what this means and what part I need to fix it?
Mark for Model Number ATFB7000ESO
Answer Hi Mark. E-20 is the drain hose is not pumping out water fast enough. Check the pump inlet and drain hose for any restrictions or blockage. Check the drain pump for restrictions stopping the impeller or allowing the impeller to spin on the pump shaft. The pump is part # 131268401. Thank you.
