Hi how are you. I'm trying to get a water filter for a frigidaire 1998 double door, I can't see clear the model number would you be able to help me please...thank you
Without the model number we can not be 100% sure that this is the correct part number for the water filter but is the one that was most used for Frigidaire refrigerators at that time. The part number is WF1CB.
I changed the filter and I get no water to the door.
If you are getting no water to the door but you are getting water to the icemaker then you will want to check to make sure that the water line in the door is not frozen. You can do this by disconnecting the tube at the bottom of the door and see if water comes out when you push the water dispenser lever. If no water then check to make sure that the lever is making contact with the switch and is not broken. If this checks ok and there is no water then the water valve would be the cause for failure.
Our Frigidaire side by side water and ice dispenser quit working but, it still makes ice. Seems to be no power to the dispenser panel. Model # FRS22Z GH W6
You will want to check the wire harness at the top or bottom hinge of the freezer door for broken or loose wiring. If the wiring checks ok then you will want to test power to the board on the dispenser. If there is power then the board is faulty and would need to be replaced.
I use filter #wf2cb. Do you carry a replacement that does filter out fluoride?
Answer Hello Eddie! Unfortunately, we do not have the specs available to verify what the filter actually filters to be able to suggest a replacement. Sorry about that!
Concerning the ice maker - After the water enters the unit, what route of parts and hoses does the water flow through to get to the ice maker?
Answer Hello Bill,
The water goes through the water valve, out through the water line up the rear of the unit, and through the fill tube into the icemaker.
