I just replaced the puresource2 water filter on my Frigidaire side by side. I changed it because the green light on the water button went out and we weren't getting any water, just ice, still no water, I tried the hair dryer, tried the reset button but it just blinks red and green while pressing the button, nothing works.

I have this model BGHS2644KF1 refrigerator. I went to replace the filter with a PureSource Ultra ULTRAWF. The problem is the old filter will not come out. I have replaced it before but this time I can push in on the end but there is no "click" and it simply will not come out. I have pushed as hard as possible without worrying that I am damaging something. There is 1/4 inch or so of travel, but never any click. I have tried to pull it out after pushing in, but that does not help and I don't want to pull too hard. I recall there was some difficulty when I replaced it before, but not this much trouble. What should I do? Thanks.

I had no water or ice. I changed the filter but it kept popping out under pressure when I tried to get water and then would leak. I replaced the unit that the filter snaps into but get the same problem. I disconnected the hose at the bottom of the freezer door and if I hold the filter in, I get water out the hose, but it is still under pressure. I put the old filter back in, but it pops out too. I think the hose may be frozen in the door, but why does the pressure build up so much that it pops out the filter?

After replacing the filter, (WF2CB) I noticed the filter does not fill with water. When the actuator is pushed no water is dispensed. when the filter is released it pops out as if under pressure. I returned the filter an tried another with the same results.

I have a refrigerator with the Frigidaire WF2CB PureSource2 Ice And Water Filtration System. I have a filter that is clear and you can see the charcoal inside the filter. The water looks to be clear but there appears to be charcole sediment in both chambers of the filter. Is this normal? Or does it mean the filter needs to be changed? Also I have read through many of the post on this forum and in many cases the answer to questons is to replace the filter head. Can you provide a estimated cost for this item and a part number? thank you.

I just replaced my filter a new filter for my fridge WF2CB-PureSource2 and the water now has a very strange fishy taste to it. Is there something that can be done about this? Also, I noticed that filters now look different, have they changed?
