Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
Water is going to the filter and from filter to dispenser but not from filter to ice maker, the best I can tell.
You will want to check at the water valve to make sure that there is power getting to the water valve when the unit calls for water. If there is 120 vac when the icemaker calls for water then the issue will be in the water valve which would need to be replaced. If there is no power then the icmaker would need to be replaced.
The icemaker is not working in our refrigerator (it only has ice, not cold water). I checked the water valve for resistance and that seems fine, but when I checked the incoming voltage in the plug that attaches to the valve, it only showed 26 volts. Do you know if this is the expected voltage, and if not, what could be wrong or need replacement?
Thank you very much.
You will want to make sure that the icemaker is cycling when you test the voltage at the valve. Also pull the icemaker out and check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If the fill tube is frozen then you will want to replace the water valve due to seeping. If there is no voltage getting to the valve then you will want to replace the icemaker.
HELLO. YOUR WEBSITE OFFERS A REPLACEMENT ICE MAKER WHICH I ORDERED, MY CONCERN IS WILL IT WORK OF MY MODEL? I HAVE OCCASIONALLY HAD TO CLEAR THE FLOW TUBE INTO THE FRIDGE, THE WATER I CAN HEAR GOING IN BUT IT ONLY IS MAKING 20% OF WHAT IT DID. THE ICE ONLY DUMPS ONCE IN AWHILE, THE CUBES ARE THE SAME SIZE AS BEFORE. IF I NEED A NEW VALVE ALSO DO YOU HAVE MINE? LAST QUESTION DOES THE ICE MAKER CALL FOR WATER FROM THE VALVE OR IS IT ALL TIMED? THANK YOU, BOB P. the order #34733446
Answer Bob, You didn't supply a proper or complete model number, so it is a bit difficult verifying the parts you need. The 5303918277 will fit and operate in most versions of the FRS26ZSH side by side refrigerators. Based on the post information, you may want to start by replacing the fill valve. The ice in the fill tube, and an extended time to produce ice cubes, could be due to a faulty fill valve. You should seriously consider both parts. Heat release ice makers do have a time limit(usually 7 to 10 seconds) to fill the ice maker mold with 4 to 4.5 oz. of water. This occurs at the end of the ice maker cycle at the 11 to 1 O'clock position.
