My washer is making a loud noise when on spin cycle thinking about changing the snubber am I on the right spot.
Edgar D for Model Number fwsb66005so
Answer Hello Edgar,
Make sure that there is nothing in the drain that would be causing noise. If it sounds like a grinding noise then you may need to replace the tub bearing 3204405.
Dryer in this combo unit is squeaking, also clothes are getting in between the drum and front panel and making holes in garments. They generally get caught up on top of the drum where it connects to front panel. Is this a felt or glide issue? Really appreciate any thoughts.
Ray L for Model Number 417.97972701
Answer Hello Ray, it is likely the upper felt seal 5303937182 and the lower felt seal 5303937183 need replacing. Other parts to consider are the drum glide 137513300 and the drum bearing 131825900 which is also available in a drum bearing kit 5303281153. While you're in there, it's probably a good idea to replace all of these parts since they are not that expensive. It may save you from having to go back in a second time. Hope this helps!
How do you replace a belt on my washer, step by step. I took the top off, so how do you get at it? from the side or the bottom, or do you pull the tub out?
Rory for Model Number FWS446GHS0
Answer Hello Rory. Remove the front panel and access the belt in the bottom of the unit. Then you will roll the belt off the large pulley and then remove it from the motor. Reinstall with the new belt in reverse order. Make sure you put it on the motor first and then behind the tension pulley, and last you will roll it onto the large pulley. Hope this helps.
The tub in the dryer lops side to side and causes the clothes to get burn marks on them. Is this the part I would need to replace to fix this problem?
Lee H for Model Number 417.99570140
Answer Lee, You actually need to inspect/check the front felt guide and seal, and the rear drum bearing assembly : 5303937139 5303283286 5303281153 The manufacturer also reccomends replacing all three components if one of them is defective or damaged. Good Luck and Thanks
